Lost in Transit / The Flaneur File Finds

As of 5:30 this morning, Roger "I'm no Joe Hill" Toussaint and Peter "There is No More" Kalikow have again got themselves a room at the Hyatt and are therein cloistered. While details on the current state of negotiations are scant, the Flaneur has been reliably informed that a lively and heated discussion regarding the complimentary mint on the pillow could be heard through their room door.

Meanwhile, another source reports that Toussaint re-initiated discussions not for fear of possible jail time, but because of his dissatisfaction with the coffee at TWU's Union Headquarters a few blocks crosstown. He is reported to have offered this explanation as he was hustled into the Hyatt's elevator early this morning:

"This is a fight over dignity and respect on the job, a concept that is very alien to the MTA. On the other hand, they sure know their way around an espresso machine."

The Flaneur is not encouraged, and so ponders the plight of the pressured pedestrian who asks:

"How far am I gonna have to walk in the cold because of these clowns?"

The Flaneur found out, courtesy of this
handy little hack for GoogleMaps. Sadly, it only provides point to point distances "as the pigeon flies", but it should be proximate enough to make you call your office and tell 'em you've been "Struck".
